Port Jervis Police Chief Worden to be re-appointed to Orange County Police Advisory Board
February 21, 2019 - Goshen, NY - The Orange County Legislature's Public Safety and Emergency Services Committee will meet today to re-confirm William Worden, Jennifer Gottstine, and Brendan Casey to the Orange County Police Advisory Board.
"Chief Worden is a valuable asset to the advisory board." Legislator Tom Faggione said. "His law enforcement background and knowledge are second to none. Chief Worden has the respect of his colleagues and departments across the region."
Worden is the Chief of the City of Port Jervis Police Department. Gottstine is Captain, Troop F, New York State Police, headquartered in Middletown, NY. Casey is Orange County Commissioner of Emergency Services. Each will serve a term to expire December 31, 2021.
Other agenda items include Commissioner Casey's update on the count-wide emergency communications radio project. This $35 million project will link emergency services throughout Orange County on a unified radio network that includes new equipment for all EMS, Police, and Fire departments.
The Public Safety Committee receives a monthly report from the Orange County Sheriff's Office as well as a monthly Corrections Report for review and discussion.
The monthly meeting of the Public Safety and Emergency Services Committee is open to the public.
