County to host info sessions on Police Officer/Deputy Sheriff Exam
June 2, 2019 - Goshen, NY – Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus and Commissioner of Human Resources Steven M. Gross have announced that the Orange County Department of Human Resources’ Civil Service Unit will be holding information sessions for individuals wishing to pursue a full-time career in law enforcement.
The information sessions will provide a unique opportunity for individuals who wish to pursue a career in law enforcement to hear first-hand from law enforcement professionals. Moreover, these sessions will provide a detailed overview from the Civil Service standpoint providing information on how to apply for the exam, minimum qualification for the exam, understanding a Civil Service Eligible List and canvassing, as well as, an overview of the merit and fitness system.
The information sessions are as follows:
